Unable to login to AppHub [issue connecting your App Hub account with your Xbox Live Profile]

Hello, as suggested by Shaun on other threads, I am raising this new thread so it can be tracked better.

I am not able to login to AppHub, I get the following error

"WE’RE SORRY. AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED.
We encountered an issue connecting your App Hub account with your Xbox Live Profile.
Please visit Xbox.com and update your contact information.
After you have updated your contact information, please return to the App Hub (https://users.create.msdn.com/Register) to continue.

    View App Hub FAQ

    "

The error code at the end keeps changing all the time. I have tried the workarounds posted on various threads in this forum but nothing seems to work.

I had registered for the windows mobile marketplace few months back and have also submitted an app to marketplace. But ever since we moved to the AppHub I am getting the above error.

I've tried the following, (suggestions from other threads)
    1. Made sure that the billing account info at https://live.xbox.com/en-IN/Account/BillingAccountInformation and the contact info at https://live.xbox.com/en-IN/MyXbox/ContactPreferences were correct

    2. Made sure that all the accounts listed at https://billing.microsoft.com (personal, business etc) had the correct address and credit card info.

    3. Accepted the new terms of conditions at xbox.com

Nothing works, I still get the same error.

Can somebody suggest what to do?

I have an app ready for Windows Phone 7 from 2 weeks and am just waiting for this issue to be resolved.

I'm looking into it.  I don't see anything tied to your Live ID account in our system.

You might also want to look at my issue which is related to GeoTrust I belive. Or at least getting the information to be validated to GeoTrust.

    Hi Shaun,

You said, "I don't see anything tied to your Live ID account in our system"

Is this a problem? Can you please raise a support request for this. Thanks.

    Prabhu,

We are seeing this issue where the publisher name has part of it the same as other publisher names.  The current workaround is to create an unlikely publisher name, then create a support request to have the name changed.

However, I've created a request for you.

    Hey Shaun,

As far as I remember, from the Windows Mobile marketplace days, the Publisher Name could not be changed after registration since it is part of the verification done by GeoTrust. I am not so sure about this on the AppHub but I'm guessing the rules remain the same.

Anyways, if there is a way for me to change the Publisher Name, please do let me know, I'll give it a try.

    and thanks for the update!

    Hi Shaun,

It's been close to a week since I mailed [removed] at microsoft dot com regarding my issue but I haven't heard anything back yet.

After sending the mail, I got what I think is an automated mail on my live id saying "we are currently working on a resolution and updates will be provided soon" Can I reply back to that ID to ask for updates or is it an automated system?

Can you please look into this when you have time?

There is nothing in the mail that suggests a support ticket number, but the reply is from: [removed]

    edit:
The mail which I sent contained the subject line "RegId1 - unable to link app hub to xbox live"
There was a post by Dan Reagan asking us to use that subject line, but I can't seem to find it now.

    thanks,

Yes, the email you received can be responded to, which puts it into the support ticket.

Have you seen the update to the things to try here?: http://forums.create.msdn.com/forums/t/66593.aspx

    Hi Shaun,

I received your mail yesterday with this update, and I tried it but still no luck. The same error shows up.

I have replied to that mail and also attached a few screenshots from billing.microsoft.com
